Girl's Mini Vacation

 Thanks to our friend, Sandie Phillips, we got to stay in the beautiful lake house on the Lake of the Ozarks for three days.  Carol, Linda, Sandie and I had a great time.  The house was gorgeous and we got to stay for free because Sandie's daughter owns it and rents it out to people who want to vacation on the lake.  It was beautiful to see the water, and lots of photo ops anytime of the day were frequent.  We mostly shopped, went out to eat and chatted the evenings away...Tuesday night we watched the Presidential debate too.  Wednesday evening we had a spaghetti supper and cooked together in the kitchen.  Back home on Thursday.  This is the 4th or 5th vacation we have taken together...Good times!

It's been in the low 40's the last few mornings, I love it! We jumped in the car yesterday and took a long drive, did some shopping and stopped for ice cream, just couldn't waste such a beautiful day....come on Fall, I'm ready!

Those rascally hummingbirds

I put a new hummingbird feeder out by our swing a few days ago and now a hummingbird keeps buzzing me, just inches from my head. He doesn't like us sitting out here, if he thinks he's going to bully me, he's got another thing comin'.

 

 The frogs are really singing out here tonight!

 

I have to brag, my daughter, Shelley, has officially been accepted into grad school! So proud!

About time to go in. It's 62°, getting a little chilly out here...glad we have a fire.
