First hummingbird of the season

We just saw our first hummingbird and the baby robins have hatched outside our kitchen window and that's the bird report for today. Have a great day everyone

Happy Days dreamcatcher

Bill is mowing, I 'm sitting outside in my swing supervising and having a spot of tea. I made this dreamcather this morning, started on another one. Life is so stressful... I hope you are all having a great day!

It's snowing and freezing all of the pretty spring flowers and flowering trees. That's not fog in the distance, it's snow.

Flower power salad

Having a nice Spring salad for lunch today...since the redbud trees and violets are in bloom, thought I would add some to my salad. I have eaten the redbud flowers for years, but hadn't tried the violets..I will let you know.

 

Soup and no bakes

We had such a nice day outside by the fire, then homemade Chicken and wild rice soup for supper with Bill's favorite, no bake cookies...I hope you are all having great day!

 

Robin's nest

Bill put a board across the awning outside the kitchen window, hoping a robin would build a nest there and sure enough, one did...she is sitting on some eggs now and doesn't seem bothered by us. Looking forward to babies in a couple of weeks.

Red Hat ladies lunch

I had lunch with my Red Hat sisters today at La cocina Mexican Restaurant. We always have such a good time. I had been given a lot of Red Hat items to share with the ladies, they all enjoyed that! Happy Easter a day early

Dinner was delicious, the Easter cake is history, the egg hunt is over, the mechanical chicks entertained everyone and it was a wonderful day...here are a few pictures. Everyone have a blessed Easter!

I didn't want to cover the whole top with candy, because it is for a family dinner and not everyone likes that much sugar in one piece of cake.  So, I just made a wide garden path in the middle.
