Lunch at Iron Saddle Restaurant

I had a delicious lunch at The Iron Saddle Restaurant today with my sweet friends Linda Miselbrook and Carol Easley Schwartz! It was so great to see you both and to catch up on the news. A three hour lunch wasn't quite long enough though.

Storms today

We had our coffee outside this morning and watched the storm come in. There is lots of wind, lightening and rain, just beautiful! I love storms! The power went off a few times and it's still flickering and I DON'T like that! Have a great day all!

Having a little Blackberry pie by the fire tonight. The heat of summer is coming tomorrow 100° the next 4 days...so this will be our last fire for a while.

 

Saturday date day

We have had a busy day, Effingham Farmer's Market (lots of vendors), Driftstone Pueblo in

St. Elmo to admire their crystals, Route 40 Flea Market in Brownstown, hit some rummage sales while there, lunch at Chuck's place in Salem and got home a while ago. It's a good thing Bill's Honda gets 42 mpg!

Red Hat ladies lunch

Had lunch with my Red Hat sisters today! We were asked to tell an uplifting story and they were all heartfelt and wonderful stories! I just love these awesome ladies! Then our hostesses thought we should get some exercise, so we played balloon volleyball using fly swatters..it was hilarious and fun...always stay a kid at heart! It was a great day!

"Circle of Friends"

I've always wanted one of these Circle of Friends sculptures, i finally got one. I love it! There is some Mayan legend about friends and gathering around the fire at the end of the day to bond and build each other up. I like that!

 

It's strawberry time!

Found fantastic tasting strawberries from a place I never heard of in the middle of nowhere! Frank's Orchard, St. Elmo, IL. They don't have a facebook page, but you can find them on Google. Seriously, I only had to discard about 3 berries out of 6 quarts. Yuuuuuuuumy!

My craft shed looks like new!

Bill power-washed my craft shed today, it looks so much better! He also washed the front porch, steps and our house. He's been a busy guy.
