New Begonia

Thank you all so very much for all of the well wishes on our anniversary today! It means so much that you each took time out of your day to like/comment to us! You are all just the best!

We celebrated yesterday, then went out for supper and then later for ice cream. It was a fun day. Also, I got this beautiful begonia from my husband. Life is good!

Happy 29th anniversary to my wonderful, loving, kind, hilarious husband, Bill Halterman today! Thanks for loving me unconditionally, taking care of me, showing me such a wonderful life full of adventure and fun and being my rock when times are bad. You make me laugh everyday, and that is the very best part! I love you more than words can say and I'm so blessed to have had all of these years with you, here's to many, many, many more.

 Bill has picked at least a gallon of wild blackberries, so of course I had to make a cobbler.  We are just waiting for it to cool...yummy! (Lazy woman's lattice crust)

Porch Garden, so far, 2023

 I love my porch garden! My favorite plant though is this red velvet begonia. The petals are so thick, they feel like leather! I really enjoy sitting out here with coffee or a book.

 

Made some fried green maters today! They don't look very pretty, but they were delicious!

 Today we went to a fleamarket, the Effingham Farmers Market and then I got to go buy crystals. We had lunch at Long John Silvers in Effingham, hadn't had Long John's in years! Delicious!
