Louisville Fall Festival

 Had fun at the Louisville Fall Festival today! It was cold , cloudy and windy, but that didn't stop us from eating all of the junk food we could hold! OK, the pulled pork was hickory smoked on the spot, so at least there was protein, and it was delicious! The car show was great, along with vendors selling crafts and what not. We ran into some old friends and made some new ones. All in all really enjoyed the day!

 

Good bye Summer

 We are sitting outside with a cup of coffee watching the cold front come in. It been near 80° today, tomorrow in the mid-50's and by Monday it will be in the 20's at night...good bye Summer...

Witches Market

 Good times at the Witche's Market in Effingham this afternoon! They had some interesting vendors and great costumes. The wind was blowing about 30, so that was not good for the vendors who had tents, which was everyone except the food vendors. We enjoyed it though, the temp was a perfect 72°.I wonder how the fire dancers will perform with this breeze. Hope you all have a great rest of the day.

 

Halloween Decorations...think I over did a bit..

Think I've overdone the Halloween decorating a tad? Bill just shook his head when I put on my glow-in-the-dark skeleton pajamas...

 

 

 

Fall leaves

We've got the fire going, roasting weiners is our plan for today. The leaves are starting to turn and it's just beautiful out here. Hope you all have a great rest of the day!

 

Mr. Hooty Hoot

We grew pumpkins this year mainly so we could eat the blossoms, but we did end up with four nice sized pumpkins soooo.....jack-o-lantern! I couldn't find my pumpkin carving kit that I have had for years, so had to use a cheese knife, he's a little rough around the edges, but it was fun on this perfect cold, rainy Fall day!

 

Red Hat Halloween Party

Red Hat ladies Halloween party today! What great costumes these ladies came up with! I was the evil ringmaster keeping everyone in line, they were a wild bunch! Everyone went home with Bingo winnings, candy and good memories! Thanks to Kristy Hertel for the delicious pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies! Always good times with these wonderful ladies!
