Bringing Up Ziggy

Made some bean salad and pineapple cupcakes today, been reading "Bringing up Ziggy", a wonderful true story about a woman who is a foster mom to a capuchin monkey, which are used to help quadriplegic individuals, it's a great read. Hope you are all having a great day!

I just got home from Flora, Bill and I took mother-in-law with us and we went to visit one of Bill's co-workers from Egyptian Concrete and went out to lunch, this guy had some strange and unusual chickens.........Red-neck partaaayyyy! Hope you are all having a great day!

Veteran's day

This is my son, who I always give a special thanks to on Veteran's day. So, Preston, as always I am so proud of you and the man, soldier and dad you have become, you have sacrificed many years of your life to served our country. We love you so much. Also thanks to all soldiers, past and present, for all you have given for our freedoms.

Help, I'm locked in the greenhouse!

The door of the greenhouse jammed while I was inside and so I got locked in. So I said.."Bill!"...he yells from somewhere... "What?", So I yelled "Bill!", he yells "What?"...so I said..."Help me , I'm stuck in the greenhouse" and he says "What?"...finally it seemed like forever he comes sauntering around the corner......I said "Thanks for "rushing" to rescue me you goon".....lol..Men, they're just crazy.

Went to Decatur to Shelley's 40th birthday party. I can't believe my little girl is 40, seems just like yesterday she was getting on the bus going to kindergarten...she has grown into a wonderful young woman, nurse, and mom. I am very proud of her....

Had lunch with mom to celebrate her birthday today. We went back to Java Joe's in Centralia, had a great lunch, with lavender and pear Italian soda...yum. Shopped around in the antiques for a while, had a wonderful time.
