Things I learned this week....

Hello friends! I am back home from my week with my little grandsons. This is what I learned from watching the learning shows for children this week: I learned from Sesame Street that "manos" means hands in Spanish and "pies" means feet, I’m all up to date on the colors of the color wheel, the Cat in the hat drives a “thingamajigger “ to take kids on adventures, and according to Nickelodeon, it’s Half-O-Ween this weekend, who knew? Oh, and Barney is STILL most annoying!

Garret, you are so funny!

So, I took my grandson to school and because the seat belt in the back is hard to unlatch, I unhooked it and kind of helped him out of the car.. Now we are at school, and he is a big 6 years old, so he says to me "Grandma, that step isn't that big, seriously, that step isn't that big."....he's such a trip!

Let's water the flowers with water guns

Today day the grand boys watered all of mom's flowers with water guns, then they cleaned the trash cans with the water guns and started on the windows...lol...they spent a lot of time filling their water guns, and thought it was great fun!

Zooooooombathon!

Hope you are having a great Saturday. I am heading out with my other zumba friends, to the Zumbathon for Frontal Temporal Dementia this afternoon. It is at St. Theresa's gym, from 2:00 til 4:00. Come on out and bring your friends, this is a charity event with a silent auction, a bake sale, and, of course,a chance to see how fun and energizing zumba can be.

Nick's Pizza ...a blast from the past

To all of you who grew up in Salem, IL in the 60's....do you remember the one and only place you could get a pizza back then??? Yes, that's right, Nick's Pizza on Shelby St. It was a tiny building that made huge pizzas, and boy were they good. You had to order at the window then come back in about 20 minutes or so....thanks to my friend William Milam, here is a picture from way back when...thanks Bill, brings back lots of memories...
