Fresh pumpkin pie, anyone?
I just baked a fresh pumpkin pie. By fresh, I
mean, the pumpkin was on the porch. I brought it in, cleaned out the
seeds, baked the pieces until the pumpkin was soft. Pureed, and put
through strainer. THEN made the crust, pie filling and baked. I can
really appreciate being a pioneer woman back in the day.
