History in the making

Watching the launch today, reminded me of being in Mr. Millican's science class in 1961 listening to the launch of the first American in space, Alan Shepard, on the intercom system...any one remember this?

Space X launch was a go today!   Cool!

We put up my hammock this evening....my favorite place to read and relax...thanks, Bill.

Chili dogs and bird watching

We took Bill's mom out for a chili cheese dog and lemon ice cream this evening...it was a beautiful drive and a gorgeous day...then, like the old people we are, came home and sat in the swing until a few minutes ago.. We watched our blue birds feed their babies and enjoyed the other birds and squirrels that were everywhere..I hope you all had a good day....and had some quality time outside...

A very special Mother's day to my sweet, wonderful, beautiful mom in heaven. I miss her so much in so many ways. She was the best mom ever...Love you mom, I will never forget all the wonderful times we shared together, all the laughs and serious talks about life, you were always there for me in every way...wish we were having our McDonald's iced coffees and Wendy's Bacon Cheese burgers right now and catching up on everything you've missed these past 4 years.. I will have to be content with a one-sided conversation with you, but I know you are always listening..

Singing in the cemetery...not recommended

We went to Effingham to do our errands today, drove thru Taco Bell and got a gordita...so good! So when we got home, thought I'd better walk a while to work off some of those calories.. I'm walking in the cemetery, which I often do, singing loudly along with Elton John, I took a breath, a bug flew in my mouth, I started coughing, which turned into laughing....don't worry, I am fine...the bug, not so much..

Quarantino Cinco De Mayo

Finally our parks have re-opened

Our parks were finally re-opened, so we spent some time walking around Forbes State Park. Quite a few boats on the water, some picnickers, people on the main dock, glad to see at least one thing getting back to normal. We saw some friends out in their yard, stopped for a few minutes to say hello. We got lunch at one of our local mom and pop places in town, took it to the city park and ate and enjoyed the squirrels. Later went for ice cream at our local Dairy Mart. It's a hot 83 degrees, but it's been a nice day out with Bill. Yes, we kept our distance from all other humans, for those who are concerned..I did pet a dog though...

Another beautiful Spring day

Gorgeous Spring day here in Kinmundy town. 72 degrees, went for a walk and enjoyed the pretty flowers around town.
