Happy Anniversary to us
It's
90°, heat index 100°, miserable here in Illinois. However, we went out
for an anniversary supper to Anthony's Wild West bar & grill. Nice
and cool in there. Good food and a fun waitress, and like the old
people we are, we are out in our swing now. Hope you all had a good day.

Tea Party and Fashion Show
Some photos from the Tea Party and fashion show today. There were lots
of models and wonderful outfits and a few funny ones...I just grabbed a
few pictures, but mostly enjoyed my team mates gliding across the
stage. The lunch was delicious, and the tea and desserts were lovely
too. There was an auction for prizes, which was also fun. We all
really enjoyed being together and getting to wear great hats and
actually dress up for a change..there was also a small boutique in the
corner, something for everyone. I won a $20 gift certificate for best
table, it was announced for best hat, but was later told, it was for my
Mad Hatter themed table...anyway, had a great day!

Storms coming!
Here's
the roll cloud in front of the storm, it's been pretty wild for a while
now, starting to calm down a little though. There was some really
wicked lightning and wind. My son, Darren called from Collinsville and
told us to get ready...it was coming..

Neowise comet this month in northwest sky.
We've been out on the dark country roads looking at the Neowise comet.
You can barely see it, but it's definitely there. Very cool. Will be
closer to earth next week.

A cool day in July, what a treat!
We've been outside all day, just beautiful and cool. Spent the
afternoon in my hammock with a good book, watching the lightening bugs
