Bye hummingbirds....

Went out for my walk a while ago and the yard was full of bluebirds. We had quite a few born in our bluebird houses this year, so I guess they came back to visit. I had read that they will return to where they were born. Also, I could swear I saw a lone hummingbird fly away from the one feeder I left up. The rest have already gone south. I always leave one feeder up until Nov. For those travelers that are late to the party. I'm making loaded baked potato soup and working on another dreamcatcher. It's my favorite kind of day, cool and damp. I hope you are all having a great day!

Winter weather coming our way

 We are under a freeze warning (its already freezing 28° now)and a fire weather watch today, (61° and windy later today) don't usually see those two warnings at the same time, but then it's been a crazy year, guess we should expect no less..

My $1 pumpkin super bargain

I spent the afternoon out in my swing reading and enjoying this last summer like day.  Then we came back outside in the evening to watch the sunset and listen to a little music.As I was sitting here in the dusk, I spied my pumpkin, and here's his story.....

 I bought this solar pumpkin light at Dollar General LAST October and stuck him outside. I never brought him in for the winter or bad weather...and he's still here to celebrate his second Halloween, still shining bright....now THAT'S a dollar .

 

Renee Zellweger and my Sunday movie review

 I watched Renee Zellweger in "JUDY" this morning. The story of the last part of Judy Garland's life, with some flashbacks to her childhood..I was really "iffy" about watching it, because I really didn't think that she could pull it off, but it was actually really good..I am not sure who did the singing, but it sounded nothing at all like Judy Garland, still the essence was there. I mean, NO ONE on this planet sounds like Judy, am I right? Anyway, a little movie review for you all on this beautiful Sunday.

Red Hat Mad Hatter's Halloween Party

Today was our annual Red Hat Halloween Party. This year the theme was Mad Hatter's Halloween Tea Party...hosted by yours truly, which explains the Mad Hatter's costume...I think I needed a bigger hat....we had lunch and played Bingo and took pictures.  A good time with my Red Hat Ladies as always.
