New Year's Eve for me for many, many years meant going out with friends, dancing the night away, wearing silly hats and drinking champagne at midnight, going out for pancakes at 3:00 a.m and getting home in the wee small hours. .but now...it's come to this...sitting here, wearing my chicken leg socks and drinking hot chocolate...but, hey, I'm with my sweetie and there's no place I'd rather be...Happy New Year!
Happy Birthday to my brother, Milo in heaven. We love you and miss you every day. I will always remember you playing your bass with that big smile in your face. Give mom, dad, grandmas and grandpas and all the family a big hug from me. Rock on, "little" brother.

Some farmhouse beads that I didn't have a chance to finish during the Fall season...
A customer requested a kitchen witch broom or besom. I dried orange slices and used other herbs and spices I already had on hand. The broom is a cinnamon scented one from Dollar General. I hope she likes it! So, I had a lot of orange slices left and made this wreath. I really like it. I've had the garland and cinnamon sticks for years! Glad to finally find a use for them. So that's my day so far.
Out for the evening with my good friend of many years, Teresa Dalton...Love this wonderful orchestra...a Trans-Siberian Orchestra cover band, I hate to call it a cover band, as they are beyond perfection...wonderful music and a great time with a wonderful friend..

Where have I been, you ask? Making bunches of cinnamon salt dough gingerbread men (and teapots) why? No reason.... I did take them to Country Creek Treasures today though, if anyone is interested. Busy hands keeps me out of trouble..

I always wondered why those farmhouse bead garlands were so expensive..now I know! It took me hours to make this Christmas one, especially painting each wooden bead and the Santa belts and making tassels is not my forte! However, I am pretty happy with it! Next up..a rag fabric Christmas tree...at least that's the plan...
