Ran across this picture of me and my mama from 1980...we sure had a good time while she was with us. I'm so grateful she lived to the ripe old age of 88, but I sure do miss her!

 It's only been storming (with hail) for half an hour and we already have an inch of rain in the gauge!

Anniversary cake

I made a " cake for two" to celebrate our anniversary today, chocolate cake with chocolate ganache...and it was delicious!

Happy 28th anniversary to my wonderful husband, Bill Halterman! It's been a great ride, honey, hope we make it 28 more! Love you more than words can say! Then and now....we've changed just a bit...but are the same crazy kids on the inside!

 

Look who's sunning in my back yard..

 

This plant had about 3 leaves on it and the stems were all woody and looked dead when I put it outside in the spring. It a perennial tropical plant and can't survive our winter weather outside. I took it in and watered it all winter and look at it now, full of gorgeous blooms again!

A Lemonade memory

 Since my fb account was stolen, I no longer have any fb memories, but wait, the joke's on the hacker because I DID save all of my posts and photos right here on blogger. Soooo, here's a memory from 2009, the year I joined fb. This is Bill's first time using his lemon shake-up stand the he built himself. He sold shake-ups for years and they became world famous....well, locally anyway. Fun times!

I got a cheapy hammock to get through the rest of the summer. There are storms just north of us and we have total cloud cover, so it's just perfect out here this afternoon!

We already had our coffee outside, watered the plants and took a walk and made a meatloaf. We are listening to The Eagles, still awesome after all these years! Stay cool everyone!

It's been hotter then blue blazes all day, but we do have a lovely sunset. Glad we celebrated early with friends yesterday..have a great evening all!
