It's raining on our beautiful snow turning it to wet slush, it will probably be gone in a few hours. It was nice to watch it last night though!
What a gorgeous day, 64 degrees and sunny! We took our coffee and Christmas cookies out to the swing and spent the morning out there. These are the cookies, Santa's Trash Cookies and they are so good! Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Good morning! Today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. Tomorrow begins the start of longer days bringing us back to Spring. The older I get, the faster the years go by. Happy Winter Solstice!
I am officially done with making any Christmas items, be it for Country Creek Treasures, special orders from friends and anything to further decorate my house! The steampunk Christmas ornaments were a challenge. Wish I had taken photos of all sides, as they were all different. They are at our shop now. Then a dear friend in CA ordered the box and picture frames and I had one last ornament that the top was broken, so I just used old jewelry, some belonged to my grandma Westman and my mom and made a single ornament in honor of my family that is no longer with us

Had a wild time at our Red Hat ladies Christmas party today! Three of our sisters entertained us with song and dance, we had a human Christmas tree decorating contest and played the "right left" game. (Kathy Miltrano and I won the tree decorating contest, our tree was Phyllis who is 90+ years old). Such a fun day!
Had lunch with these dear friends today! What a joy it is to have been friends with them since grade school. We have had great adventures, laughter and tears, Merry Christmas sweet friends!
We had a wonderful visit with my son, Darren and DIL Mindy Holsapple today. We had lunch at Chuck's Place and they brought a lovely gift bag with Soaking bath salt, incense, a lotion bar, a candle in a coconut shell with quartz crystals and dried flowers and soap that smells like Christmas! All made by my sweet daughter-in-law. I was having such a good time I forgot to take pictures! Thanks so much for spending the afternoon/evening with us! Love you kids!
When we got home from the wine tasting last night, we drove around Kinmundy looking at all of the houses and yards decorated for Christmas. As we drove by the park, we decided to go take some selfies in the light tunnel. It was raining, so we thought we would just take a quick one. We never could get it right and my goofy husband had to make a face and then we started laughing and it kept raining, so we gave up...these ended up looking like one of those photo booth picture strips from the amusement park!
We had a great time tasting wines at the home of Jeff and Lori Phillips Martin last night! It is an open house event so people were coming and going all evening. Lots of delicious snacks and desserts were enjoyed also. The best part though was getting to relax and chat with friends! I took some random photos of people just being themselves, because those are the best ones!
