Dangerous storms

We needed the rain, but not the wind and lightening. They weren't kidding when they said severe! Hope my plants survive! Some local areas had tornadoes and even have of our town here in Kinmundy was without power.  We also had hail. 

Smoke from Canada fires

All of this smoke from the Canadian wildfires makes it no fun to sit outside.

 

Blue birds feeding their babies

It looks like the bluebird babies have hatched, the male and female are working like crazy to keep them fed. It's such a joy to watch them from our living room window!

Just another day in paradise

It's a little breezy today, but I'm out here in my hammock reading how to improve my brain..and look, I have flip flop tan marks on my feet... Hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous day!

 

No-bake keto cheesecake....haven't tried it yet, but what was in the mixing bowl was delicious...so I hear..

Made some cinnamon sugar almonds today and they are yummy! I used Swerve instead of sugar, but they were good just the same!

 

I have a little friend

Bill made an early morning fire so we could sit outside and have coffee. This Hackberry emperor butterfly kept landing on me, my face, head, hand and leg. He wouldn't leave me. I went in the house for a bit and he was waiting for me when i went back out,. however, instead of being a mystical experience, I find that they like to lick our sweat to get sodium.Disturbing!

 

More fun with friends

Ate at Joe's Pizza with the World Color press ladies tonight, quite a large group of us, what a riot and the shinnagins we were recalling, how fun! We still managed to our work done though.Yes, I ate at Joe's Pizza twice today! Hope you all had a good day!

Had lunch with the ladies of '67 today! So great to see everyone! Jenny Holsapple was visiting from Florida, so it was extra special! Bless these sweet ladies and am so grateful for the friendship we have shared since grade school.

Red Hat Ladies Lunch

 Today's Red Hat lunch was great fun, as always! We played a true or false game about the history of the Red Hat Society, had a Scavenger hunt and an auction! A good time was had by all!

Coconut cake

I made a mini coconut cake for our Saturday night treat! I make these little 6" cakes because if you make a regular sized cake, it stares at you until you eat it! Then you have to buy bigger clothes! The struggle is real!
