Such a beautiful day, 75 degrees and sunny! We are spending the day outside. We have fire in the pit, might roast some hotdogs later!

Throw back Thursday
TBT....a hundred years ago, me... in Atlantic City, on our band trip in 1965. We toured the east coast on a bus...in New York City we were turned loose on the town and ran around in groups of 6 or 7, catching cabs to where we wanted to go, can you believe it? That would never happen today. We got to go to the New York World's Fair too! We had planned events also, like seeing the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. How fun to share this great adventure with friends, we were 14 to 18 years old..good times and great memories! On our Senior band trip, we went to the Bahamas...those were the days!

Throw Back Thursday
TBT...my grandma and grandpa Westman (on my mother's side) at a sweetheart banquet back in 1963. It looks like they were having a good time. I sure do miss them, they both passed in the 1970's. It's nice to know they enjoyed their senior years.

Fleetwood Mac cover band, TUSK
Fleetwood Mac cover band, TUSK, was at Effingham Performance center tonight and they were fantastic! Never thought anyone could sound like Stevie Nicks, but I was wrong! Bill and I had the best time! We hadn't been to a concert together for years. I think the last one we went to was the Rolling Stones ages ago. People were dancing in the aisles and in front of the stage tonight, Good times!

Date afternoon
We went to Centralia today and had lunch at the Jade Buffet. Some great Asian food there. Then onto Goodwill, where I found some great bargains. On the way home we stopped by DQ for a blizzard. I had a Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting..yum! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed being out in the sunshine.
