Good riddance to this extremely hot day, although Bill took me out for supper so I wouldn't have to cook, so it wasn't all bad. We went to Golden Corral in Effingham and hit the buffet. We just rolled in, literally!

 

More Halloween decor

 It's still Augtober...still making Halloween stuff...I aged the pages of the spell books by ripping them with scissors and painting coffee on them. I felt kind of bad treating books this way, but I had a goal! Hope you are all having a great day and above all. Staying cool!

Lunch with some ladies of '67

 Had lunch with these dear ladies from the Class of '67 today. So wonderful to see you all! Glad you could make it home for a visit, Jenny Holsapple. Cindy Stanford Dice was also with us, but had to leave and missed the picture. We had a great time!

 

Saturday night in Kinmundy town

 It was a beautiful evening so we took a long walk. Our tiny little town is pretty peaceful most of the time. We did stop and chat with some people we knew, but other than that we saw only cats and one truck. It's a real snoozefest here in Kinmundy town.

 Except for the harrowing drive in the storm to Mt. Vernon today, Bill Halterman says he's had a great birthday! We did some shopping, went to lunch at Bandana's, then came home for cake! He says thank you for all of the birthday wishes! ( on Facebook)
