Family day

 We had a wonderful day with family today, even though there was just a few of us. (Brother Kent, son Darren, me and Bill) DIL was sick. We missed you, Mindy! We Skyped with brother, Lee and SIL Sylvia in CA and ended the call with all of us singing We wish you a Merry Christmas, ate lots of food and had great conversation. I hope everyone had a great day!

 I made some loaded baked potato soup, installed a new printer on my laptop and phone and am having Gingerbread cookie tea! It's been a productive day so far! Have a great Saturday everyone!

Trying Times

 So today I was supposed to have cataract surgery on my right eye. The left one was done a few weeks ago. We get there in time and everything is moving along. Then just when it was my turn the nurse comes out and announces that their sanitizing equipment had stopped working, so they were sending their surgical tools to be sanitized somewhere else and would be a 45 minute delay. She said this equipment had never stopped working before. So we waited some more. She comes back in an hour, the other machine wasn't working either. So now I'm re-scheduled for next Monday. I hadn't eaten or drank anything since last night and by now it is 2:30. We had been sitting in the doctor's office for 3 hours. Bill goes in McDonalds to get me a cheeseburger and fries. He is gone for 10 whole minutes. When he finally gets back he said there was a man cussing loudly at the workers to hurry up. After him was a lady with about 10 separate orders, I guess for her co-workers. After all of that Bill got waited on. Finally we are home and I 'm afraid to try to accomplish anything else today! They did do a nice thing for all of us, by giving us a gift card for gas.

Annual Wine tasting/Christmas party at the Martin's

 Fun times at Lori and Jeff' Martin's Wine Tasting as always. There were lots of wines and someone brought different flavors of white lightenin'. One tasted like butterscotch, there was strawberry shortcake. Didn't taste that one. Lots of good food, conversation and laughs! Always a good time! Of course, we ended the night with our photo at Kinmundy Park in the beautiful light tunnel!

 

After dark Christmas parade

 Our Little town had it's second annual After dark Christmas parade. There was candy aplenty thrown from the lighted floats. It was Halloween all over again for the kids scrambling around trying to grab some, only instead of costumes they had Grinch stocking hats and deer antlers on. Here are some highlights! They were moving pretty quickly, forgive the light trails. It was a warm 45° and no wind so a perfect night for it!
