Eyes in the night...

So, while camping last night, I got up in the middle of the night and made my way to the restroom. On my way back to the tent I saw some eyes shining at me when I was shining the flashlight on the path. It had a long fluffy tail and yellow eyes...a raccoon?? I wasnt' wanting to have an altercation with a raccoon in the middle of the night, I was trying to figure out what to do, because they can be vicious. I kept the light in his eyes, so he couldn't focus on me, when I got close enough I could see it was just a big CAT with a fluffy black tail..I said to the cat: "I thought you were a raccoon."  the cat said ...meow?.....sigh of relief from me!

Granny won't take "no" for an answer..

This is Bill's favorite chicken, Granny.  He seriously has to pick her up off of the roost and put her on the ground.  There is nothing wrong with her, she just likes special treatment.  She follows him around like a little puppy, it's very cute...

Hello friends! Bill and I went outside about 5:45 with our coffee and watched the sun come up. It was very cool, had to put on a sweater...at least until the sun came out. We took the dog for a walk and then ran some errands in Salem. Had some breakfast at McDonald's and took a McMuffin to mom. I made two more apple pies to freeze for winter, and that's about it so far. Going to zumba later.. I hope you are all enjoying your Thursday.

Hello friends! We have been outside ALL day working on some projects. We emptied and moved the greenhouse, what a chore! I had so much extra crap.....but not anymore! It was cloudy and cool, so was not too bad. I hope you are all enjoying your Monday!

Iola Old Settler's Day Festival

We just got back from coffee at the "round table" at the Omega General store. Had a great time, lots of laughs and good company. The Old Settler's Day festival was fantastic. I would say there was a record crowd there. I literally had no time to take pictures, but I just posted a few from early in the morning. Bill was extremely busy also, but that's why we were there, so not complaints..I hope you all are enjoying your day!
