The little old kraut maker, ME!

Made some kraut today, hope it turns out.  It's full of the pro-biotics that are usually cooked out of processed sauerkraut.

Trying something different isn't always all it's cracked up to be.

Good morning friends! We have had a busy week-end so far, but I won't bore you all with the details. Loving the thunderstorms this morning, had my coffee while listening to the rain and watching the poor wet birds at their feeder...I made some brown rice flour muffins, never made any before, I'm trying to get away from that terrible white flour. The muffins taste ok, but they have an odd texture, after all the flour IS ground up rice...very filling though, only need one and please don't think I don't know what day it is...I had some cupcake papers left from Halloween... ....so that's my morning so far, hope you all have a great day!

Baby wrens have flown the coop!

I just took this picture Saturday and all the babies have left the house.. So cute, though, he kept looking and me and making that annoying twittering noise..

Fun wedding!

We went to an outdoor wedding yesterday. It had been pretty all day, but you could hear thunder and see the rain clouds coming as the ceremony started. All went well though and as soon as the minister said "By the power vested in me by the state of Illinois and on account of it's going to rain, I now pronounce you man and wife"...the rain started. As the Green Acres theme played, the newlyweds ran to their truck. Then we all ran, because the rain was coming down in torrents It was a beautiful wedding just the same and we had a wonderful time at the reception as well.
