Had lunch at Applebee's with my Ladies of '67 today! We had a great time, as always. Love you, crazy ladies!

Visit with Darren

We enjoyed a nice long visit from my son, Darren, this afternoon. Always so good to see him.,he is always so entertaining. :) I I wish my daughter-in-law could have come along too, but she was working... I hope you are all having a great Tuesday! Oh, and we also saw our first hummingbird today!

Summer's almost here!

Bill hung up my hammock today..yay!!! He spoils me so much! I laid in it until my skin started burning... :) until that happened, it was pretty relaxing. It was 80 degrees today, I should have known better,,but...I didn't. :) I hope you all had a good day!

owl wall decor and fairy houses...

A few new projects I have completed lately for my craft booth...the fairy houses are made completely of homemade clay and are formed around a jar with a lid...they have a battery tea light inside to light them up...very fun to make.

Game of Thrones ,,,final season

The 8th and final season of GAME OF THRONES starts tonight! Woot!  It's been a long journey with this HBO tv series, Bill and I have loved every minute of this make believe epic story...hate to see it all end this season, but all good things must come to an end, as we all know...

Dinner with Mike and Carol

We had a lovely dinner at our dear friends' house, Mike and Carol Schwartz...Mike cooked country style ribs in the smoker, we also had twice baked potatoes, baked beans, rolls, salad and for dessert, my favorite, Italian Cream Cake!   We had such a great time, just the 4 of us, good conversation over Blackberry wine, listening to the frogs from the warm evening outside...close friends mean so much..

Happy Birthday Red Hat Sisters

Had lunch with my Red Hat sisters today! Thank you, Doris and Kathy for a great Easter party! The table was so pretty and we were showered with prizes. You both did a fantastic job. One of our members has worked with the girl scouts for 35 years, so she was given an award for all of her hard work, Congrats, Joan Bourland-Foltz! We had a "service" for the death of the Pillsbury Dough Boy officiated by Debi, Roxanne and Kathy...very funny ladies.. Also, it was the birthday of our little Red Hat group, so I made a cake and we celebrated that too! Happy 16th Birthday Chickadees! Tonight, dinner with friends! Have a great rest of your day!

Pelicans, Pelicans!

We went back to Kinmundy lake again today, and the pelicans had moved slightly closer...the wind was blowing at 22 mph all day, with gusts of 46 mph...which made is extra fun to take these pictures...Bill had to hold the tripod while I focused and pushed the shutter button...our timing is always great..... :) These are the best I could do under the circumstances, but they sure are majestic birds..usually we have swans, but have never had pelicans on our little town lake...I hope you all had a great day!

Geese on the lake shore

Bill and I went to Kinmundy lake this afternoon..such a beautiful warm day! The pelicans were on the far side of the lake, so I had to be happy with some geese. :) They are such beautiful birds....I hope you all had a good day.

Easter cake 2019

We are having an early Easter family dinner today....I got a little carried away with my holiday cake....but my nieces and nephew will love it! I'm just so ready for Spring and bright colors!

Shrek the Musical

Went to see the live performance of Shrek the Musical last night at the Community theater in Salem. It was performed by the Salem High School students and was absolutely wonderful! These young people have so much talent, and they were having a great time on stage as well, which makes it fun for everyone! Shrek and Fiona were both extremely talented. Shrek had to use a British accent through the entire performance and that's not easy. The Prince Farquaad character was the most hilarious of them all, as he had to play it walking on his knees, with fake tiny legs! He sounded like Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies too.. :) Donkey was played by a girl who must have been channeling Eddie Murphy, she was also just a riot! I could go on and on (and yes, sometimes I do) but if you haven't seen this yet, it is well worth your time and small admission price.I think there are only a couple more performances left....everyone have a great day!
