We had a lovely Thanksgiving with friends last night. I think there were around 30 or so there.  Everyone brought something to add to the menu. What a wonderful time and awesome food! I still feel like a stuffed turkey this morning! Speaking of stuffed turkeys...Have an awesome Thanksgiving everyone!

A quick visit with the grand boys

We went to visit the Texas grandboys in Decatur today and the rest of the family, except for Shelley, she had to work. My son-in-law made a big pot of chili and it was delicious on this chilly, rainy day. We sure enjoyed seeing everyone. Those boys are getting so big, growing up too fast. Love them so much. i just couldn't get enough hugs today.

A nice warm day today, got up to 58 with lots of sunshine. We are sitting out here having coffee by the fire and listening to some oldies! So grateful for all of my many blessings

3rd Annual "Giving Back" Community FREE Thanksgiving dinner..

The 3rd Annual "Giving Back" Thanksgiving dinner was a huge success. Thanks to the Salem Odd Fellows Org, the Marion Co. YMCA and Saved With Amazing Grace . An unbelievable 1600 meals were delivered and served to Salem and neighboring communities in a mere 6 hours!. It was an honor to help out in a small way. Everything was donated by local businesses and individuals as well as cash donations. All who helped were volunteers..It was truly a wonderful group effort.. I made some new friends, saw many old friends as well. It was a rewarding and fun day. I clicked just a few pix when I stopped to have lunch with Bill. BTW...the smoked turkey was amazing!

Beautiful sunset

It was such a beautiful day today, lots of sunshine (and wind), now we are blessed with this vibrant sunset...everyone have a great evening!

Technology.....ain't it grand...

My electrical devices are getting a little demanding today. An email from my printer "Sheila, it's me, your printer. I am running low on ink, time to order" Then, my phone beeps, "Battery at 14% time to recharge". About a minute later, the dryer buzzes, the clothes are dry....I'd really like to drink my afternoon coffee in peace...

Red Hats Thanksgiving Bingo lunch

I had lunch with my Red Hat sisters today at Village Garden. Thanks, once again, Kathy Albert, for a lovely day. Also, thanks for sharing your photos that I borrowed from your page. :) The decorations were so pretty, we all commented on what we were thankful for and then came a fun game of Thanksgiving Bingo, with wonderful prizes, and lots of laughs and conversation. I really had a good time. I am so THANKFUL for my Red Hat ladies and their loving energy. I hope you all had a great day!

Since Shelley is working in Springfield, IL until January, she invited Darren, Mindy and Mia to meet her at a Hawaiian Restaurant for lunch yesterday...here are a few pix.  Little Mia is the grand daughter and isn't she a cutie!  On a side note, my son Darren has always had very long hair, mostly in dreadlocks, I'm talking since high school...he finally got it all cut off and it looks awesome!

Happy 92nd birthday to my mama in heaven

Happy Birthday to my sweet mama in heaven, she would have been 92 today. Here is a picture of her 86th birthday party, the whole family was there and my dear friend, Carol Schwartz, sent mom these beautiful flowers. It was a great time the entire day, so glad we had so many years with her. I love and miss her so much everyday! Mom, I hope you are having a joyful time in heaven with family and friends celebrating your special day!

 Even though her birthday isn't until the 8th, I spent the day with my daughter, Shelley, for her 49th birthday! We had such a great time shopping and visiting friends! Then we had cake! A perfect day all around!
