Apple pies

We thought the squirrels had eaten all of the apples in our tree, but....luckily not! They must have gotten distracted by the walnut tree.so, ...warm apple pie coming up (and one to freeze for later).

 

Visit with an old friend

Had a fun evening with these two crazy ladies: My old friend who I have not seen for years came to town (Jan (Thomas) Murphy) and my good friend, Debi Champion , who I see quite often and who also has known Jan for many years. What fun! There was so much laughing I'm surprised we had time to eat! It was so great to spend time with both of them!

 

 

Birthday lunch with Brad and Debbie at Chuck's Place

Had a fun day with Bill's brother, Brad and sister-in-law, Debbie this afternoon! It was a Birthday lunch for Brad at Chuck's Place. We also saw some other dear friends there! Then on to DQ, where we talked, laughed and caught up on family news. I bet they thought we'd never leave. Good times! I hope you all have had a great day so far!

The humidity is 100% and it's not raining, in fact the sun is out...another hot miserable day is in store for us. The dew does look beautiful on the flowers though.

Remembering the Eclipse of 2017

Six years ago today...total solar eclipse! We went to Kentucky and stayed with my brother, Kent. This is the actual photo I took at totality. We went to a farm of one of Kent's friends and had a pizza party! What a great memory!

Very foggy this morning and like a sauna out there already!

 

Wooden garland

It's been so darned hot today, the temp. is 92, heat index 101at the moment. I needed something to do inside, so, I had some wooden ornaments I got out of the sale bin the other day. Yes, they are for Valentine's day, but I glued them together and painted them and made a garland. I just hung it up to take a picture, but I don't think it looks too bad. My kitchen is dark and light green with red details. Anyway, using those colors, everything I make to use in there looks like Christmas.. Now I need to water my poor thirsty plants and fill the hummingbird feeder yet again. Have a good evening all!

What a beautiful day, low 70's, a slight breeze and me in my hammock with a Dr. Pepper and a book. Can't get much better than this!

Supper with the World Color Press Ladies

 

Good food with good friends at Applebee's tonight! Enjoyed a fun evening with some World Color Press ladies. Always enjoy catching up and reminiscing about all the years we worked together! Ahhhh, the stories!!!

 

Crazy birds

The hummingbirds have just gone nuts today. There was 6 of them on one feeder and two more trying to get on it! They have been zipping around all day. Love watching them!

Lunch with Linda and Judy

Had lunch at TGIF with my dear friends Linda Miselbrook and Judy Gordon.  I have been friends with these ladies since grade school.  We have been through good times and bad and it was such a joy to spend the whole day with them again.  It has been too long!

Storm damage

The walking bridge at Forbes State park boat dock after the storms this week. Bill took this this morning. Very sad. It's ruined.
