An evenng with Ted and Sandy

We had such an enjoyable evening with friends last night in their toasty warm sunroom with fireplace, soft lighting, candles, coffee, dessert and best of all great conversation. Since we are all "older people", no one was on their cell phone, no loud tv, just a wonderful peaceful evening. OF course, I like a big crowd of happy chatty people just as well. Where would we be without friends? I just took a walk in the sun this morning, it is quite nice outside for the final days of the year. I hope you all enjoy your Sunday!

After many days of Christmas festivities, the last celebration dinner was today with the Halterman's.  It's been a great Christmas season with families and friends! I am so thankful for you all! Have a great Friday and weekend!

Applebee's with Kent

Christmas Brunch with the ladies of '67

Thank you to Carol Schwartz for a lovely Christmas brunch today, and thanks to all of the ladies of '67 for bringing delicious food as well. It was such a nice day, enjoyed a nice long visit, good food, a Christmas story by Cindy Dice and a Poem written by Gayle Erxleben..I love these ladies so much, most of them I have known since grade school, some since second grade, unbelievable isn't it? I hope you all had a good day, because we sure did, hugs.

Date Day with the hubby

Bill and I went to Belleville, IL to the flea market today, I . Found some great deals on crystals, met some interesting people and just enjoyed the atmosphere...Then on our way home, we tried, really TRIED to drive past the Krispy Kreme Donut place, but like a magnet it pulled us in and we bought a dozen fresh made warm ones, ..I had to have this "Ugly sweater" one too...it was ugly, but tasty......lol. We drove through Carlyle Lake on the way home and saw 6 eagles perched there..snapped a quick photo of 3 of them......hope you had a good one too everyone.. Tonight we are catching up on Star Trek Discovery....yes, it's a simple life, but I love it!

Red Hat Christmas Party

It was our annual Red Hat Christmas party today. Everyone was in the Christmas spirit and we had a great time. We played the "Left Right game", which is always so fun. Kathy Albert surprised us with homemade fudges to take home too, thanks, Kathy...Thank you to our hostesses, Debi Champion, Roxanne Pennington and Kim Keller, who decorated the tables beautifully, read us a Christmas Red Hat Story about Santa not being able to find his hat anywhere and come to fine out, Mrs. Claus decorated it and wore it to her Red Hat party..lol..very cute, Roxanne was in charge of Christmas trivia...and so it was a a wonderful Christmas party. I hope you all are having a good day.

I never get the flu...never....except I did- just in time for Christmas parties

I am sick today...missed my Christmas party with the ladies of '67 at Mitchell museum, had plans tonight too,  also missed the Twilight Christmas event at the craft store, Country Creek Treasures..so here I am on the couch. ..bummer. ..meanwhile...here are my friends at our party.  Looks like a great time at the Mitchell House, which is next door to Mitchell Museum...always decorated so pretty...I still have two parties coming up in the next few weeks, so I will just look forward to them. Have a great day all!

More snow!

There's such a pretty snow falling, I just had to take a walk in it, enjoyed it so much, now having a cup of blueberry tea..hope you all are having a great day!

Miniature Mushroom House project

I have been working on this little mushroom house for a little while, I finally got it done today! I was trying a new technique that I found on Youtube. I could have kept on adding detail, but it was my first attempt at making any kind of doll/fairy house and since I made some mistakes on it, I decided it was finished.... So thought I would share it with you, it even lights up! I hope you have all had a good day!
