Double Rainbow tonight.

We had a beautiful double rainbow tonight after the storms...so beautiful! The camera never really catches the vibrant colors as they really are though. I hope you all had a great day!

R.I.P. Lexie

A few days ago, on Sunday, I said to Bill, "I haven't seen Lex Shuler on facebook for quite a while, I hope he's doing ok. I need to send Jack a message and see if all is well with him." He had just suddenly come into my mind...that is no lie... Sadly, today, I see his obituary. He passed away yesterday. I am really sad, as I have been friends with him since I was in my 20's. An extremely talented and caring man. A wonderful artist, musician, with a great sense of humor, and boy could he cook! We crossed paths quite often through the years. I took a drawing class from him once, Bill and I sat with him at the winery many times and enjoyed lots of good conversation, he came by our house now and again to visit, and held music events at his house that were great fun...R.I.P. my friend, you will truly be missed. Here is a short video that I took of him at Ingram's Log Cabin Village in 2008, where he entertained us for years with his friend, Dale Brewer. Sending condolences to his family and friends.

A blast from the past...

A facebook memory....June 24, 2014...girl trip...

Sailboat regatta

We had a nice day today. Went out to lunch, then spent the afternoon at Carlyle lake watching the first day of the Carlyle Sailing Association's Egyptian Cup Regatta..so pretty watching all of the sail boats. Lots of other water craft to see too. Then we went for ice cream. We got home and put up the lights out by the fire pit, watched the lightening bugs and listened to music...so relaxing. The weather was really nice all day too, back to the heat next week.. I hope you all have a great day!!

Well, isn't this just dandy!

We took the motorhome out for a drive, it hasn't been driven since last November when we went camping...we got our lawn chairs all set up at the park in Salem, and we heard it thunder..so we sat there for 10 minutes, more thunder, they then announced that the pool was closing, so we packed up and came home just in time for the storm to hit...well, wasn't that an exciting trip! Oh, and I forgot, but there was a track hoe chopping up concrete at the high school across the street, bang, bang, bang.. lol... :) Happy First day of summer!

Fred the frog :)

This tiny tree frog lives in what once was a birdbath, but I just planted succulents in it. He croaks really loud when we are sitting out in the swing talking.lol...he was coming out for his evening meal when I caught this photo. Very hot today, so I bet he's glad when the sun goes down. I hope you all had a good day!

We spent years working beside each other, sharing the good times and the bad times.
