We had a wonderful visit with our friend, Mike Schwartz today in Carterville. We went to Giant City State Park a few miles away for lunch at the lodge there! It was a beautiful place and the food was delicious and was served family style. They are famous for their fried chicken and have won lots of awards for it. We drove all through the park and saw the fall leaves, waterways, cliffs and historical places around the area. It was a great day. We drove home in the dark, in the rain, it was pretty treacherous sometimes, but we made it home and it had barely rained here in Kinmundy! Go figure! Thanks, Mike, for a fun day and for lunch!
