Back to normal....for a while...
Since
it was 15 degrees this morning, we decided to drive to Omega and have
coffee at the round table with our friends. There was lots of lively
conversation and it was a fun time, as it always is. Home now and had
some lunch, thinking about a nap, or some time on Pinterest. Hope you
are all having a great day!

CATCHING FIRE
Oh, I
LOVED the movie, Catching Fire...Bill enjoyed it too! It ended like
the 2nd book...cliffhanger!!! If you haven't ready the books, or at
least saw the first movie, you would be lost watching this one....Since I
have done both of the above, I thought it was AWESOME...adding Phillip
Seymour Hoffman to the cast was genius! After some shopping we went to
Panda Express and had some wonderful food..OMG, it's SO cold, going down
to 12 tonight, the wind was the worst though, but we made it
through...glad to be home...had a nice day with the husband. I hope
you all had a great day too!

New wood floors in most of the house, finally done!
Here's a few pictures of the bedroom, I think I got the new floor in one of them. This is where the grand boys stay when they come to visit, so they will be surprised. I usually have a lava lamp in here for them as a night light, even though I replaced it with a salt lamp, I saved it for them, they always like to watch it.....Bill has not built the headboard yet, and I'm looking for a new comforter, but it has a nice feel to it, I think.

Pumpkin walnut pancakes and a couple of movie reviews...
Good morning, friends! Had movie day with mom
yesterday, as always, enjoyed visiting and had some chili for lunch,
yum! It was 18 degrees yesterday morning and 20 today...brrrr. So here
are my movie reviews: GROWN UPS 2, what can I say...written
and produced by Adam Sandler, and of course he stars in it with is
cohorts in crime, from the first Grown ups..love it...lots of laughs.
Movie #2, which I had never heard of, GIRL MOST LIKELY, with Annette
Benning and Darren Criss (from Glee), the female lead, didn't really
know who she was....anyhoo, very good story line...love it also! We
just had a late breakfast of pumpkin/walnut pancakes...I just pureed the
pumpkin this morning from fresh pumpkins I had sitting
outside....double yummy! I hope you are all having a fantastic day!

Finished some projects.
We caught up on a few projects today. I posted some pix earlier. I love the wheel barrow, it's just to sit plants in next Spring, ought to look good in the yard...He built it and I stained it. It was so warm today, just had to do something outside. We had a nice visit with my brother-in-law, Steve Halterman, and now we are settled in for the evening, I hope you all had a great day!

Fuji Steak House birthday party
So we went to the Fuji Steak House in Decatur for lunch. We had a funny hibachi chef, and the food was wonderful. The grand boys were insane because there was FIRE...they thought that was awesome. A couple of guys came out with drums and sang happy birthday and brought Shelley and mom ice cream with Happy Birthday written with chocolate syrup on the plate...really cool. Had a GREAT time. Then back to Shelley and Cary's for coffee. Home now with lots of wonderful memor
ies and a few extra pounds...
