We have such a beautiful memorial garden in Salem and we locals just
take it for granted.. Members of the Garden club plant, and take care
of it and I want to thank all of you right now. We stopped by there on
our way back to Kinmundy and stayed a long time admiring all of the
plants and butterflies. For those of you that don't live here it is the
William Jennings Bryan memorial garden. William Jennings Bryan was
born in Salem and ran for president three times....and lost.
After that we stopped by the Weenie Wagon and had some delicious lunch
with our friends Gloria Swift and Tom Swift. This concession trailer
had belonged to us before and we enjoyed many years of selling food at
festivals and fairs and pumpkin farms. In fact Tom Swift's father was
an auctioneer and we worked for him selling food at his auctions, so it
was fitting that when we sold it Tom and Gloria bought and have kept the
little red wagon busy. Bill and Tom exchanged concession trailer
horror stores...lol.....I hope you all have had a great day
Welcome.....
To my world of the weird, the strange, the unexplained.........
no, I'm just kidding, this is a happy place......OK, maybe I am just a little weird.
