Lunch with the Ladies of '67

I had lunch with my Ladies of '67 today...so much chatting and laughing, enjoy these lunches so much...great to see all of you ladies once again...Look at you...you all have such good posture...

Sourdough goodies

When I was in Texas, my son-in-law gave me some sourdough starter...so I fed it for several days and if you've ever worked with sourdough, you know it grows faster than you can use it for just bread, so besides this lovely loaf of bread, I made sourdough blueberry muffins, pancakes and brownies, with the excess starter....I froze the pancakes and muffins and brownies, put some starter in the fridge for future use, and we are eating the bread..so I have been a little busy in the kitchen, which is my favorite place to be....I hope you all have had a good day!

Baby frogs

We were sitting outside in our swing this evening, and we suddenly realized there were little frogs all over my craft room building, we found 8 of them, all sizes and different colors..some were as small as a dime...Here are just a couple that we got photos of before it got too dark to see. Crustless Spinach, mushroom quiche

While I was visiting Texas last week, my favorite son-in-law, Cary Yandell, made quiche for us every day for breakfast, it was awesome, and so I am totally spoiled now. I had to make my own for supper tonight, Crustless Spinach, Mushroom and 3 cheeses quiche. It was delicious, even Bill liked it, and that was a big surprise..lol...I hope you all have had a good day!

Dallas Sunrise

A beautiful morning sunrise over Dallas, TX as we were coming home yesterday. So, yes, I am home, a day earlier than I had planned, we thought it would be easier to drive thru Fort Worth and Dallas early on a Sunday morning and it was...Very little traffic, even in Dallas, if you can believe that. It's good to be home after a wonderful visit with my daughter and family..I hope you all have a good day.

Fun Times at Denton, TX

After two week, I am getting ready to go home tomorrow, so we took a few family pictures today, sure have enjoyed spending time with the family and have had so much fun with the grand boys....But, they start school Monday, and it's time to get back to reality...I hope you have all had a good day!  Here's also a few pix from our fun day in Denton, TX.

Denton, TX...it was the first day I had ever really spent any amount of time in a comic book store (s). I have to admit it was really interesting...I also felt like I was in an episode of The Big Bang Theory..lol...it was fun, always good to have new experiences, no matter how old of a dog your are..

Geodes

Besides the Mentos Diet Coke experiment, we cracked open some geodes. You really can't see how pretty the inside crystals are in these photos.

Lemon Volcanoes

Today we made lemon volcanoes, It was messy, so again we went outside..The boys loved it too, and we all made one...you can see the lemons from start to finish....fun! Shelley wants to do the mentos and soda experiment...that ought to be interesting. I hope you all had a great day!

Naked Egg experiment

About 4 days ago we put raw eggs in vinegar to make "naked eggs", by letting the shell dissolve in the vinegar. We got them out today, and it didn't take long for them to slip out of their fingers onto the concrete...lol...they laughed and laughed, thought it was hilarious and awesome. The egg with just the inner membrane left, felt really weird too...so our project didn't last long today, but it was fun and that's what it's all about...I hope you all have a great day!
