I had lunch with my good buddy, Linda, today at the Sat and Fassy Restaurant in Farina, IL..great food and it was good to catch up with my dear friend.  I hope you all had a great day!

Miniature Mushroom House project

I have been working on this little mushroom house for a little while, I finally got it done today! I was trying a new technique that I found on Youtube. I could have kept on adding detail, but it was my first attempt at making any kind of doll/fairy house and since I made some mistakes on it, I decided it was finished.... So thought I would share it with you, it even lights up! I hope you have all had a good day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with the Halterman's yesterday. Good food and lots of family silliness! I hope you Black Friday shoppers survived and found some good deals. It's a beautiful day here, have a good one all!

Annual Thankgiving Eve dinner party at the Schwartz's

A good time was had by all at the annual Thanksgiving Eve dinner party at Mike and Carol Schwartz's...we always have the best time at these dinners..lots of our friends attend, there is lots of wine, amazing food and good conversation.  Here are just a few pix.  Everyone have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow..

I think I need a T-shirt that says: " I Survived Walmart During Christmas Season". It's theTuesday before Thanksgiving, and it was just crazy in there! However, ended up having lunch and a nice visit with some friends at Wendy's sitting in the soft comfy chairs by the fake fireplace..so it wasn't all bad.... :) Have a good one all!

Game Day at Country Creek Treasures

Had a good time playing Bingo on Game Day at Country Creek Treasures today, lots of laughs, delicious treats and great prizes! Thanks Country Creek ladies for a wonderful afternoon!

The weather people don't know squat!

The snow is already falling off of the trees and melting into the ground. We only got a couple of inches, the weather people estimated between 2" and 6: here...a fine snow is falling again though...everyone have a great day and be safe...

It's snowing!

It's 11 PM...sitting here with only my salt lamp on for light (and my computer screen), watching the huge snow flakes fall across the window. Don't know how much we will actually get, but at least it's covering the grass now, so it's a real snow...just took this pic out my front door.. If you have to get out tomorrow, be safe, even this small amount of snow that has already fallen will make the roads slick. Good night all, have a cozy night..

Sea Shell Christmas ornaments

I made some seashell Christmas ornaments, a couple of golden santas, the three kings at the manger, and a nativity scene with Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus in the manger, these are both made from different sized shells, kind of a different twist on the traditional nativity scene. Trying to get in the Christmas spirit here... :)   Snow is expected tomorrow, so yahhhhhh!

Giving back lunch Sponsored by Country Creek Treasures and the Odd Fellows lodge

 Our Giving Back Free Thanksgiving dinner was today.  It was sponsored by Country Creek Treasures and the Salem Odd Fellows Lodge, Salem, IL.It was free to the entire community. Everything was donated and all was done with volunteers, including delivering 400 plus meals.  I was so happy to help with this wonderful event...even more amazing was the fact that 900 meals were served today, this includes  deliveries, people who came and ate lunch and those that picked up meals to go. It was such a wonderful, rewarding and blessed day all the way around. Thank you to all who joined us, volunteered, donated and helped in anyway, it couldn't have happened without you. most of all this would never have happenedat all if not for Bonnie Carroll who's idea for this dinner started the whole thing ..Here are a few pictures I took in a hurry, because it was a very busy day. Now I am  tired, but happy.. :)..

Red Hats Thanksgiving Party

I had lunch with my Red Hat sisters today. We had a Thanksgiving party, almost felt like Christmas with all of the lovely Bingo gifts our hostess Kathy Albert brought for us. I wish I had taken photos of the tables, they were so pretty, I need to stop talking so much...("that ain't ever gonna happen", I know that's what you are all thinking}. We also guessed how many Turkey toes were in a jar.. :) We got a bag of turkey poop (do you see a theme here? ) and she even made us a wonderful Chocolate, chocolate chip, pecan and caramel cake, yum, yum!..Thanks again, Kathy for a great time, you always make it fun and interesting too...I came home and did some baking for a few hours and now I am tired...you all have a lovely evening and don't forget about our free dinner tomorrow..I will re-post the poster about it with the photos.

Happy Birthday 48th birthday, Shelley

Happy Birthday to my wonderful daughter, Shelley. : I still remember the day you were born so clearly! It was a Sunday, you were late getting here (some things never change...lol) It was about 11:30 in the morning. I was so happy to finally meet you. Your dad called the church and it was announced before the end of the service..everyone came to visit. You have always been, since that day, a joy to be around. You have a great sense of humor and endless "I Love You's " to share.. I am so proud of the woman you have become, spending your days saving lives, literally and your evenings being a fantastic mom and wife...I love you so much..Happy Birthday, Sweetie. Have a most wonderful day.

Happy Birthday in heaven

Happy 91st birthday to my sweet mama in heaven...I miss her so much, she was a wonderful mom and also my best friend....I think of her everyday...😥

A roll cloud bringing the storm in this morning. The sun was trying to come out too, causing a pink cast on the clouds, so pretty!

Harry Potter Baby Shower

Went to a really fun and different baby shower today. It had a Harry Potter theme. All of the food, drinks, candy, etc.had their own Magic names. My niece, Melissa Winters is having twin girls, so it was double the fun. We ate, played games, laughed and enjoyed the opening of gifts... I would like to thank Amanda Raper, Glenna Halterman, and Debbie Halterman for such a great afternoon and for all of your hard work putting it all together..There was even a Candy Buffet for us all to get a bag of treats to take home..More than a few pix, but Harry Potter fans will probably get a kick out of them....I now have my own magic wand too, chocolate frog and a Mandrake baby... :) Hope you all had a great day!
