Monthly lunch with my dear friends..

I had a great time with my ladies of '67 at lunch today..We stayed at Pizza Man so long, it was about time for supper.... :) Sure enjoyed all of the fun conversations!

Celebration Day

My grandson, Lucas, wants to thank you for all of the birthday wishes yesterday! (this was also posted on Facebook, that's where all of the wishes came from) He loves playing Minecraft, and Dallas had a Minefaire this weekend. It was his birthday surprise that he was going with dad yesterday. He had a great time, then all out to eat for supper and back home for birthday cake! He's looking a little tired by the end of the day.. :) This is my favorite picture though...him and the family Great Dane, Shadow....I think Shadow was wanting some cake too.

Shelley just now posted on facebook: He was exhausted mom, if he would of stopped moving at any time after about 1 pm he would of been out. Shadow is still hanging around by the cake 🎂

Game Day at Country Creek Treasures

It was a full house at Game Day at Country Creek Treasures today. We played many games of bingo and had such a fun time...I hope you all had a great day too!

National Pi Day

Today is National Pi day, but instead I had pie...blackberry.. :) Also I tried this Bacon, Potatoe and cabbage skillet dish, and it was yummy! Other than that , I just about got blown away while taking my morning walk...spent the rest of the day reading...hope you all had a good one.

Happy 13th Birthday, Garret!

I would like to wish my awesome grandson, Garrett a very happy 13th Birthday. Can't believe he's already a teen ager...He's the sweetest, funniest little guy and I love him so much...

St. Patrick's day party with my Red Hat sisters

Today was our St. Patrick's Day Red Hat lunch and party! What a fun day we had..we used props for our group photo, and so the entire day was nothing but silliness. Plus I got this great headband! We played games, won many prizes and learned about the history of Ireland and St. Patrick...thank you for a great party, as always, Kathy Albert, you are the party planner extraordinaire....I hope you all have a great day!

It was 1 degree when we got up today, so we thought...hey, it's a great day to run around to three different counties and take care of errands we have been meaning to mark off of our list..Centralia, Mt. Vernon, Salem for lunch, and Vandalia.. We are home and .it's now a balmy 15 degrees....it's a heat wave! No matter what the weather or season, it's always a good time with my husband, he is a little kooky, so there's always lots of laughs on the road trips to wherever..I hope you all had a good one!

I know you probably won't believe this...but this little bird was catching snowflakes and he only has one eye...he was snapping at them like they were insects...kind of sad..however he is sitting in my feeder full of seeds and watching the snow fall while he's having breakfast....

37th Annual home show

Here are a few photos from our booth at the Home Show today and tomorrow at the community center in Salem, IL...well, they have actually renamed it the Home, Community and Ag Expo.  I guess they had to give it a more interesting name now.  It's still the local businesses displaying and selling their products from the area.  Our booth is only 10 x 10, we sure have a lot of things packed in their from Country Creek Treasures.  The whole community center is full of vendors and the place looks great!  Here are a few photos from last night when we were working on our booth, and when it was finished.  That's what I'm doing today, so it should be fun. 

Sometimes you just need a  buttermilk biscuit and  bowl of sirloin steak stew...

Congratulations Lucas!

I have to be a braggy grandma this morning..my grandson, Lucas, ran his first 5k run yesterday in Fort Worth, TX. I am so proud of him! I have to say that Cow Town sure knows how to throw a marathon, there were 8000 runners, which would roughly be the entire population of Salem, IL...Way to go Lucas!

Lunch with the girls

The Ladies of '67 had our monthly lunch date at Ma Ma Antonio's Italian restaurant...kind of a small group today, only about 7  of us, lots of illness, vacations, and other things were happening, so we missed our nice large group.  It was fun though, a cold, ugly day with nice fresh pizza and pasta and friends..can't ask for more than that...

Belated Valentines Day date with my sweetie

What a fun day today. We went to Belleville to the flea market, where I bought some beautiful dark purple druze amethyst pieces, a large amethyst point, some clear quartz points, and some religious Shiva stones.  We had lunch at the Ginger Buffet in Fairview, Hgts, IL , they even had roast duck, crab legs and crayfish on the buffet, along with the usual stuff at Asian restaurants..very good, We stopped by Carlyle Lake where at the marina there were hundreds and hundreds of gulls gathered on a bank of rocks that used to the the boat dock area. ...all of those white "rocks" in the distance are gulls, then we stopped by the swinging bridge and saw a flock of pelicans..that's what those white blobs are in the last photo...it was cold and windy, but the sun was shining...a perfect day with my honey, we were celebrating a belated Valentine's Day.

Since it's Valentine's day, I told Bill that I would take him out to lunch, as long as we go to Wendy's and as long as he orders the "4 for $4"... So we did....that's love, baby! 😜😍😍😍
