Supper with Teresa
Teresa and I had supper at the La Cocina Mexicana restaurant. We sat outside on the patio and had the best time ever. We sat there for hours drinking margaritas, well, we didn't drink for hours, just visited. Had a great time, as always.

Early Easter dinner with the family
We had an early Easter dinner at my mother-in-law's today. Always lots
of laughs with that bunch, as well as great food. After dinner we had
the annual Easter egg hunt, it is always such a hoot watching them.
then we did glitter tattoos...you were right, they loved the cake didn't
want to finish their food and wanted peeps..lol...but, we didn't cut
the cake until they were all done cleaning their plates.. Bill and I
sat in the swing this evening and watched the blue birds making their
nest in their little house, like they do every year...it was a very good
day.

The Easter bunny and her peeps
The Easter bunny and her peeps....yes I went a little over board with
the candy...lol...I was never one to believe that less is more. My goal
was to make an Easter bonnet, it turned into a jungle..lol:) I thought
my nieces and nephew needed to get sugared up before they ride back home
with mom and dad tomorrow...for hours...in the car... ( Amanda Raper.)....be prepared..
April Red Hat lunch
Enjoyed a nice lunch with my Red Hat sisters today at the Odin Cafe. We
won prizes from picking out our own Easter egg, thank you, Kathy Albert
for being an excellent hostess once again..Always a good time with
these ladies.

One more thing...
One more thing...I made this bread today, it is the easiest and most
tasty homemade bread I have ever had...no bread machine, no kneading, no
making the night before, like some artisan breads....it was done from
start to finish in a little over 2 hours....it's baked in round pyrex
bowls, but I think you could bake it in loaf pans, they would just not
be very tall loaves..anyway...it's very good...
Peasant bread
Peasant bread
Fish...it's what's for dinner....
Look what Bill caught this afternoon! Guess what's for supper tomorrow night....yep..bluegill and bass..yummy...
Our model today is Trixie..
Our model today is Trixie, she is wearing our blinking pet collar in
pink..She is a free spirit with a mind of her own, and loves the color
pink (collars can be purchased at Country Creek Treasures, Salem,
Ill...) (shameless self promotion)lol...this is my mother -in-law's
dog, After I put the collar on her, she kept staring at the wall, we
couldn't figure out what she was looking at, and then we realized she
was watching the lights flicker on the snack bar....no, it doesn't take
much to entertain us...

Surprise party for Pat.
I went to a surprise birthday party for this sweet lady this afternoon
at Country Creek Treasures (Pat Rodriguez)I met some new people and had a
great time. Good Food and delicious lemon, raspberry filled birthday
cake, not to mention great hot tea on this cool afternoon (strawberry
vanilla). I gathered up these little girls and let them model some of
my hats, and hip scarves, The wide brimmed hats are not mine, but they
all were so cute and fun. Yes, the two on each end are twins, and Pat
is their grandma, their little sister is in the blue striped shirt
wrinkling her nose like a bunny..lol..

Glitter tattoos...first event coming up.
Most of you know that I did face painting for years, there are many,
many photos in my fb album, however, I gave it up a few years ago. It
was getting too hard on my back and was very stressful at times when I
had a long line and I was doing whole faces, which was most of the time
in the dreadful heat here in Illinois..most of time I didn't have a
chance for a drink of water or to even stand up. Once again I am trying
something new, glitter tattoos. They are so easy and fun
and I don't charge as much as for face painting, even though they stay
on for 3 to 5 days and are waterproof. I will be at Country Creek
Treasures on Aprill 22nd, from 10 til 2, bring the kids, yourself,
grandma, your neighbors...and get all glittered up. There is no age
limit..
:) There are designs for boys too. (Please excuse my poster, I don't have a printer, yes I need one)
A relaxing day in the swing. :)
It's been so pretty the last couple of days, even with the rain
yesterday. I cleaned out my craft building for the third time. It's
amazing how much stuff you can get in a tiny space. I just started
throwing stuff out the door. I still have some craft supplies and
decorations, but other than that, it looks good. Bill hauled most of it
off to the dumpster. We've spent a lot of "old people" time in the
swing watching all of the Spring birds, bees and other critters going
about their lives...I hope you all have a great day.
