Why do we wear high heels?

Someone on the Clayboard was begging for a comfortable high heel. I commented that men were the first ones to wear them....most people didn't know this so I had to find a link...it was pretty interesting so I am going to put it here....

Before I do I would like to say phooey to King Louie (XIV)....he wore 5 inch heels, names after him...what a guy!
